Indications
antibacterial with wide spectrum and fast acting therapeutic plasma levels are reached and the mode of action makes the development of significant resistance unlikely. The product is active against gram positive and gram negative bacteria including, escherichia Coli and salmonella and staphylococci and is used to treat systemic infections such as acute salmonellosis,pneumonia, diphtheria and colibacillosis at cows, calves, sheep, goats and birds.
Usage and Dosage
it is used orally and with drinking water as follow:
Orally: 5g /160 kg b.w twice a day (dose is mixed with suitable amount of water or milk).
With drinking water: 2-5 g for each 10 litre of drinking water twice a day.
(the treatment continues for 5 days or until 2 days after the symptoms have subsided )
