Indications
Ampicillin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic active against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. It is used to treat acute and chronic mastitis in cows, camels, horses, sheep, and goats
Usage and Dosage
The udder is washed with soap and water, dried, and completely milked then the injector is injected into the infected quarter.
Cows, horses, and camels: A whole injector.
Sheep and goats: Half an injector.
The dose is repeated after 24 hours for 3 days.
Withdrawal Period
For milk: 3days, for meat: 7 days.
