Pharmacokinetics:
Partially absorbed through the skin when applied topically. Its effect is concentrated at the application site.
Systemic absorption is limited when used correctly. It is metabolized in the liver and excreted in bile and urine in trace amounts.
Indications
It is used topically in cattle, sheep and horses to treat:
Local inflammation of muscles and joints. Ligament sprains and tears. Bruises and bruises. Tendinitis.
Superficial arthritis. Relieve pain and swelling after superficial surgical procedures.
Usage and Dosage
For external use only, apply a thin layer of ointment to the affected area and massage gently. Wash hands after use.
Dosage and duration of use
Apply 2-3 times daily to the affected area. The amount of ointment is determined according to the area of the injury.
Duration of treatment: from 3 to 7 days. Or depending on the severity of the injury and the animal's response to treatment.
Overdose:
Unexpected with correct topical use.
In case of excessive use, local skin irritation may occur
Treatment: Stop use and wash the area with water.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to diclofenac or any of the components of the ointment.
Do not use on open wounds or broken skin. Do not use on mucous membranes. Do not use in animals with severe skin ulcers.
Side Effects
Rarely, you may notice:
Mild local irritation. Redness or itching at the application site. Symptoms often go away after stopping use.
Warnings
Do not swallow. Avoid contact with eyes
