Indications of Cefamycin (Cefalexin & Kanamycin intramammary sealant):
It is for the treatment of mastitis in dairy cows caused by infection with different bacteria sensitive to cephalexin and kanamycin such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus, Streptococcus pyogenes and Escherichia coli.
Contraindications:
Do not use it for dairy cows that have allergic to cephalexin and/or kanamycin.
Usage and dosage for Cefamycin (Cefalexin & Kanamycin intramammary sealant):
The udder is washed with soap and water, dried and completely emptied of milk, then the syringe is emptied into the affected quarter Repeat the dose after 24 hours.
Withdrawal Period:
for Meat : 10 days for Milk: 5 days
