Indications of Amprocoxin
Amprolium is considered a common compound which is used as anti-coccidia in layer and hens mothers during the fosterage period. It has a very low poisoning level, its activity increases when it is associated with Sulfaquinoxaline. It has a good effect against Eimeria tenella, and Eimeria necatrix, a medium effect against Eimeria acervuline and a weak effect against Eimeria maxima and Eimeria brunetti. It is used to treat coccidia especially when coccidia are accompanied by E. coli, salmonella and staphylococcus.
Usage and dosage for Amprocoxin
It is used for poultry with drinking water:
100gr for every 200 litres of drinking water daily.
The treatment continues for 3 days then stopped for 3 days then resumed for 3 other days.
Withdrawal Period
For meat: 3 days , for eggs: 2 days.
