Indications of Amoxicillin veterinary powder 10%
amoxicillin is considered one of the penicillin derivatives which are active against gram+ bacteria such as staphylococcus pneumococcus and gram-negative bacteria such as gonococcus and meningococcus. It is bacteriostat and bactericide. The product is used to treat infections caused by bacteria in the following cases:
-To treat gastrointestinal & respiratory infections in calves and poultry.
- To treat urinary and biliary passages infection in cows, camels, sheep, goats, horses, calves and poultry.
- To treat infection caused by salmonella bacteria in calves
Interactions
Usage and Dosage for Amoxicillin veterinary powder 10%
it is given by mouth or with drinking water:
Calves and horses: 4-8 g twice a day
Goats and sheep: 2-8 g twice a day
Poultry: 100g /200litre drinking water
(Treatment continues for 3-5 days )
Warnings
Not to be given to penicillin-sensitive animals or to those who have renal failure.
Withdrawal Period
For meat 10 days, for milk 3 days
