Indications of Penicillin G injection veterinary
It is used to treat infections of the respiratory and genitourinary tracts, blood poisoning, and transmission of penicillin-sensitive germs in camels, cows, and sheep.
Interactions
It should not be given in combination with tetracycline, chloramphenicol, macrolides and lincosamides.
Usage and Dosage for Penicillin G injection veterinary
Admin as a deep intramuscular injection / shake well before use.
Horses, cattle and camels: 1 ml per 20 kg body weight
Sheep and goats: 1 ml per 20 kg body weight
Dogs and cats: 1 ml per 10 kg of body weight by subcutaneous injection
Treatment can be repeated every 24 hours for up to 5 days
For penicillin-sensitive organisms such as Streptococcus des agalactiae in sheep, treatment can be repeated every 24 hours for up to three times or as directed by your veterinarian
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to penicillin and procaine
Administration to animals with severely impaired hepatic function.
Side Effects
One of the most famous allergic symptoms is shock, animal heat
Warnings
Do not use the same injection site more than once during a course of treatment.
Do not inject more than 20ml per injection site into cattle.
Do not inject more than 5 ml per injection site in sheep.
Do not give to animals sensitive to penicillin.
Not effective against beta-lactamase-producing organisms.
Withdrawal Period
Meat: for cows:14 days , for sheep: 9 days..
Milk: 3 days
